About Desert Designed: <p>I’m an elementary classroom teacher, curriculum creator, and STEAM specialist with over 20 years of experience teaching in public schools. I’ve taught Kindergarten through fifth grade students and am licenced to teach Kindergarten through eighth grade in the state of Nevada. On Boom Learning, I design hands-on, cross-curricular lessons that build curiosity, creativity, and core skills.</p> <p>I received a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, a Professional Degree in Elementary Education, and a Master's Degree in Technology in Education. I am a pianist, composer, teacher, coach and just an all around lover for all things piano. I created Cascade Method to spread my love and passion for piano as far and wide as I can! </span></p><p>Students love learning to read notes, play new songs, and delve into music theory. With this method, I, along with other Cascade Method Certified Teachers emphasize positive reinforcement and FUN techniques. About Not Your Average Preschool Teacher: <p>I graduated with a Bachelors degree from St. Vincent College. I continuously take courses through our intermediate unit to further my education and keep up to date on all the changes. It's how I first discovered Boom! I have been teaching for 12 years in a variety of grades from Preschool to 8th Grade. Preschool is where my heart is! I love working with young minds and learning so much from them!</p> <p>When hyflex learning started, I struggled with finding resources to include my in-person kids and my remote learners. I found boom cards and fell in love! Now I make all my own content with clipart help from a few places (bunny on a cloud and educlips).</p>
