Description: Whether you are working on Social Skills activities for kids , or Social and emotional skills , this Speech therapy bundle contains 17 FULL lessons. This bundle is perfect for any speech therapist starting a new Social Skills Group. Included are Maintaining a topic of conversation, use of a speech filter, teaching empathy , Identifying feelings and emotions, Teaching kids about lying , Social problem solving and Conversation maintenance skills. It now contains seventeen decks, perfect for 17-22 social skills sessions and suitable for grades 5-10. My sessions run 45 minutes and each deck typically fills in that amount of time, with pauses in being for group discussion. Many times, with discussion, the lessons spilled over into the next session. You can use the decks in any order. However, it may be best to start with the "SOCIAL SKILLS CLASSROOM RULES" deck since each following deck supports that first deck. I have also added a printable PDF containing 25 images and catch phrases I have used in therapy. These catch phrases are described in the “Social Skills Rules “ deck. Familiarize yourself, as well as your students, with each image. I have found this useful when a student exhibits undesirable behavior. All I need to do is mention the catchphrase. It’s a lot more direct than getting into a long-winded discussion.
