Description: This packet is a supplement for the deck "Bats Reading Comprehension Primary." It would be used after the students work through the deck individually or as a group or class. The first page, after the cover, is the Teacher Guide, which is followed by 2 pages of an answer key, then the student activities. The packet of activities for students include 4 pages of activities with questions requiring written responses. The students can use the deck to locate information to support their answers. The written responses include: - writing to respond to "What is a mammal?" - writing ways bats and birds are different - writing what nocturnal means and what bats do when they're active at night - identifying what microbats and megabats eat - writing what hibernation is and what bats do when they hibernate - fill in the blank using the words colony, roost and upside down - viewing pictures of the bat life cycle and writing number to indicate stages 1 - 5. - providing reasons why bats were not made to be kept as bets
