Description: Make a taco that’s almost good enough to eat with this simple, hands-on taco craft! This activity is designed to pair perfectly with a dragon-and-taco themed story while providing an engaging way to incorporate fine motor skills, following directions, vocabulary, and language practice. Students first color the taco shell and individual ingredients, then cut out the pieces and assemble their taco on a paper plate. The final step lets students make their taco “spicy” by adding the included hot pepper! The resource includes step-by-step visual directions with real photos of the craft being completed, making it easy for therapists, teachers, and students to follow along. Use the finished tacos to extend the activity with requesting, describing, sequencing, ingredient vocabulary, following directions, and talking about likes and dislikes.
