Description: Use this valentine town themed sentence building deck to provide your students with a fun way to practice decoding regularly spelled one syllable words, identifying common sight words, understanding the basic structure of a sentence, and using pictures as context clues to confirm and/or self-correct word recognition. Each card contains 6-8 words. Students are tasked with rearranging the words to form a sentence. Students can click on the open book icon to listen to the sentence being spoken aloud. Taken as a whole, the cards included in this desk tell a story about three kids (and some funny animals) who live in a place called Valentine Town. The cards are presented in a set sequence. The story contains a total of 136 words. 57 of the 136 words are unique. A list of the 57 unique words that are used in the story appears on the first card.
