Description: Your students will learn facts about turkeys while identifying key details. They will learn about their life cycle, habits, and behaviors while improving their reading comprehension. Primary learners will practice identifying details, using labels, and viewing pictures to answer Wh- questions while learning about turkeys. Audio support is provided. Your students will... - view the picture on the slide. - read or listen to the information while they read. - read or listen to the question and three answer The Deck: - The first slide has a menu for your students to access the picture of the part they want to learn about. Each part is explained below. -Part 1 - Turkey Life Cycle - provides information about each stage in a turkey's life, including a life cycle picture. - Part 2 - A Turkey's Body Parts - provides a labeled picture of a turkey. Each slide provides information about a turkey's body parts and how that body part helps the turkey. - - Part 3 - Where Turkeys Live - this part provides a map of North America and information on domestic and wild turkeys. - Two to three sentences are provided in the passages on the slides. The sentences are simple to short, complex sentences. The students will respond to WH- questions by clicking on the answer. RI.1.1 Ask and answer questions about key details in a text.
