Description: This resource helps develop knowledge of "categories" to help aid in language processing. Each category is color-coded using the Fitzgerald key, to provide a visual to help your student organize his/her language. People: Yellow Places: Purple Things: Orange Students drag and drop 9 picture symbols on each page, into "person", "place", or "thing", for a total of 11 pages. That's 99 items! By working on categorization in this way, we can help a child to organize thoughts and respond to questions better as well. For example, a "WHO" question, will have "YELLOW" answers, a "WHERE" question, PURPLE, etc.. You will find that most groups have a common "sub-category" throughout this activity as well. For example, "mother, father, and sister" are all "people" and "family members", and "quarter, penny, and nickel" are all "things" and "coins".
