Following directions activity for teachers and speech-language pathologists to be used during carnival, circus, fun fair, and summer themes. Use this carnival scene activity to aid in the understanding of the basic concepts of space, time, quantity, and dimension (i.e. relational words). You can set up different stations with various games and activities, such as a ring toss or bean bag toss, and provide verbal directions for the student to follow in order to complete each activity. You can also incorporate language goals by having the student describe the different games and activities they are playing.
