Description: This deck contains yes/no questions for Halloween. Address receptive language, gestural communication for yes/no (thumbs up/thumbs down), and gather information about your client's/student's interests related to Halloween. Slides do not advance by clicking on "yes" or "no", as the correct response is for the individual to express the response either verbally or with the gesture. Also, this is not meant to be an evaluation of yes/no reliability, but a tool for training the use of a spoken or gestural response of relevance to the individual. The first 45 questions are general Halloween questions that do not pertain to eating. The last 35 questions are all food related. Food related questions were placed into a separate section to be mindful of individuals who may be unable to consume a regular diet. Most of the photos on these slides are real photos; however, drawings and mixed media images were used when a real photo could not be obtained or might be too scary for some individuals (witches, vampires, etc.). Although this deck is appropriate for all ages, it is highly recommended that the deck be viewed by the therapist or educator prior to use with a specific student, client, or group. Aligns with the following Common Core State Standards (CCSS): CCRA.SL.1; CCRA.SL.2; CCRA SL 3.
