Description

Christmas Photo-to-Photo Matching is designed for learners who are developing early visual discrimination, matching, and attention skills. This resource provides an intentional extra step for learners who tend to click through answer choices until they find the correct response. Learners see a Christmas photograph and choose the matching photograph from three choices. Boardmaker symbols are also present as visual information, requiring learners to attend to the photographs and discriminate the matching image rather than relying on symbol recognition. This resource is appropriate for students with significant disabilities, profoundly disabled learners, early learners, and PK students with significant attention or visual discrimination needs. The simple, repetitive format supports: - Photo-to-photo matching - Visual discrimination - Sustained attention - Deliberate responding - Learning to look at choices before selecting - Moving beyond random or “click-through” responding This is a foundational matching activity—not a traditional academic Christmas vocabulary activity. It is designed to meet learners at an earlier developmental level and give them practice with the prerequisite skill of looking, comparing, and choosing.
