About me: <p>Welcome to <strong>Sageapedia!</strong></p><p><strong>Karen Cupp, B.S.E., M.A., CCC-SLP</strong></p><p><strong>Sageapedia | Special Education, Speech Pathology, Functional Literacy, and Transition Resources</strong></p><p>Sageapedia creates accessible, not-grade-specific educational resources for middle and high school special education students and transition-age learners. Materials focus on functional literacy, communication, safety, decision-making, and independence.</p><p>Miss Karen hasn't retired, because she is having too much fun!</p><p>With more than 50 years of teaching experience, Karen has developed Gifted and Talented curriculum for Lubbock ISD and led mathematics achievement efforts at Highland Lakes Elementary School, which received National Blue Ribbon Schools recognition in 2003–2004. She has coached students in the National Spelling Bee, Odyssey of the Mind, Future Problem Solving, National Geography Bee, and Texas UIL Art.</p><p>Karen holds a B.S.E. and M.A. from Truman University, a Texas Speech-Language Pathology license (#102534), and the ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP, #01097063).
