Description
This is another deck targeting the paralinguistic aspects of speech. It focuses on the wording of the message as well as the prosody, tone, volume, and pitch of voice. It can be hard for our students on the autism spectrum to understand if someone is requesting or commanding them to do something. This deck is designed to train your student's ears to discriminate a request from a command by paying attention to the tone, and volume of speech and respond accordingly. The difference between a request and command can be very subtle but this deck exposes the students to this difference and attempts to train them to spot one easily and accurately with this interactive, game-like format.
