About me: <p>Rizwana Saad is an ASHA and ABESPA certified Speech-Language Pathologist residing in Huntsville, Alabama with her husband and children.</p> <p>Rizwana had a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology when her youngest son was diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder. This propelled her into getting a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Alabama A & M University in 2015 to help him reach his potential. She has been working with the public school system ever since and there is no looking back. </p> <p>Soon after, she completed a basic course in DIR Floortime approach and applied the skills learned with her son as well as all her students. She also completed an online training course for Autism Spectrum Disorders Clinical Specialist through PESI to provide effective communication strategies for students struggling with sensory processing disorders.</p> <p>Her passion for customized materials for her students started her on a journey of creating specific digital products for them. During the Covid-19 years, driven by the need for digital interactive materials to provide tele-therapy services, she came across the Boom Cards platform. She made new decks every day during those days based on her students’ needs. She now has hundreds of decks in her store targeting articulation, language, reading comprehension, pragmatics, prosody and intonation and more. She is thrilled that other professionals/parents/caregivers enjoy using her materials as much as she does.</p>
