Description
This is a fun deck to practice the affricate sounds /ch/, 'j' with your students in different positions of words. You can have them use the sounds at the word, phrase, or sentence level if you want. You can provide a carrier phrase loaded with affricate sounds such as, "Check the _____ in the cheerful chamber" etc. Or have them generate their own carrier phrases. You can also target vocabulary and receptive/expressive language skills in mixed groups by having your students name all of the choices and have them describe their characteristics. Don't forget to have fun!! Words included: cherries, check mark, chair, chili pepper, witch, beach, sandwich, kitchen, vulture, ketchup, beachball, jam, gingerbread boy, giraffe, garage, jellyfish, angel, orange, jug, gingerbread house, jelly beans, fridge, juice, jar.
