Description: These Boom Cards are perfect to practice key details and answering text-based questions within nonfiction passages. Students will start by reading about a winter holiday celebrated around the world. Next, students will drag color-coded highlighting rectangles to the text to answer the questions or highlight evidence. The drop zones are bracketed around the answers to be "self-graded" however the teacher will still need to double check answers. The drop zone will accept any answer in the bracket. Not every word in the bracket will be correct, so teachers will need to double check. This deck has 5 Winter Holiday informational passages. The passages included mention religious holidays, however the focus of each is the celebrations, food, activities, and dates.
