Description

This Boom Card deck helps students in grades 3–5 practice inferencing and cause-and-effect reasoning through short, realistic stories about daily routines and responsibilities. Each passage is 4–5 sentences long and describes familiar experiences such as getting ready for an activity, running errands, or helping at home. Students read each scenario and answer a question that requires them to infer what most likely happens next based on the events in the story. All questions include realistic, age-appropriate answer choices that encourage functional thinking and problem-solving. This resource can be used in speech and language sessions, ABA programs, social-emotional learning lessons, or classroom reading activities to support comprehension and everyday reasoning skills.
