Description: If you are looking for a resource to be a scaffold for fact and opinion this one will do that. There are over 25 slides of practice. Students will choose between fact and opinion every other slide. Each fact or opinion slide has an additional slide for students to type a sentence to respond. Their answer choices are open-ended. Teachers can use these slides in a guided fashion and to discuss the options rather than for them to just click back and forth to hear to correct "ding". This way they must explain their thinking and I believe it makes them more accountable. Use the deck during literacy blocks or guided teaching. It will help students give valid reasons for their thinking which is a coveted skill for test-taking.
