Help your students master matching first sounds of pictures with letters. This fall themed interactive Boom deck includes 26 self-checking cards (1 per letter) plus an introduction/directions card to help students learn how to complete the deck. While playing, this deck is set to randomize the cards for each play and students will be given 15 cards per play, so they can play multiple times, receiving a different order of letters each play. This deck was completed with distance learning, back to school, fall/autumn season, and Kindergarten students in mind, and can be used as an extra practice, intervention, or enrichment for your students depending on their specific needs. Students simply click or tap the picture with the first sound that matches the letter in the white box. This deck was also intentionally made to include students of diverse ethnic backgrounds so all students can feel a sense of identity and belonging. X is always a tricky first sound matching letter as no words truly start with the /x/ (/ks/) sound that the letter makes. I chose to include the letter X with the picture X-Ray so the students experience the entire alphabet in this boom deck. This resource is similar to my Matching Letter and First Sound Apple Theme Set 2 Boom deck with a different set of pictures for most cards!
