Description: This is a 25 card deck of minimal pairs for the /l/ and /w/ sounds. It targets the phonological process of Gliding of Liquids. Each card gives the students a choice of picking the correct sound for each word that they can hear. There are 12 minimal pairs (24 words total) with the l/w sound at the beginning of words. I would recommend teaching them the tongue placement techniques and then using this deck for practicing distinguishing the two sounds. Word pairs included: lock/wok, lick/wick, light/white, lake/wake, link/wink, let/wet, late/wait, leap/weep, life/wife, lip/whip, line/whine, leak/weak.
