Description: "Square It for Articulation: S-blends" is a fun way to practice initial /sp, st, sm, sn, sk, sl, and sw/ at the word, phrase or sentence level. There is a page for each sound plus two pages of mixed blends.To play the game, the student touches the target word, produces it, and then drags a red line to the word four times until a square is formed. Each time a line is placed, the student produces the word. The student must produce the word four times to form a square. With ten pictures per page, each s-blend is practiced at least 50 times. Once a square has been completed, the student is rewarded by dragging the letters of the targeted s-blend off the page to reveal an animated picture. Cover the animated picture with the letters before moving on to the next word (this will reduce distraction). Repeat with each target. Remember, you can vary the level of difficulty for your student by requiring a word, phrase or sentence. Perfect to use for homework or during a therapy session.
