In this activity, students will practice manipulating CVC words with the letters f, m, p, s, t, a, and i in word chains. They will change words one sound at a time. There are some repeated words. Standards/Skills: This activity is designed to provide additional practice after the introduction of the letter sound short i. Previously learned letters within this scope and sequence that might be included in this activity are: a, f, m, p, s, and t. RF.K.2.e: Add or substitute individual sounds (phonemes) in simple, one-syllable words to make new words. Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words.
