Maya Angelou</p> <p>I'm a K-6 special education teacher with 14 years of teaching experience in an interrelated resource setting. I've supported students with diagnoses of Dyslexia, Learning Disabilities, Intellectual Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, and Autism. I also provide English support for my students who also are English Language Learners.</p> <p>I have a B.A. in Special Education majoring in Cognitive Impairments and minoring in Early Childhood Education and a M.S.E. focused on English for Speakers of Other Languages. I have completed Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling (LETRS) training and spent years teaching students how to read, write, and learn math concepts.</p> <p>I have a teaching license in the state of Kansas with the following endorsements: Adaptive Special Education (K-12), Early-Late Childhood Generalist (K-6), Early Childhood Education (EC-EC), and English for Speakers of Other Languages (PRK-12), and the Kansas State Seal of Literacy.</p>
