Description: In this activity, students will practice discriminating between words with short A and short I. There are audio directions on every slide. Students click the picture to listen to the word and then choose if it has the Short A or Short I sound. These are no prep and self-grading task cards. They do require internet and a boom learning account, but can be used with a free version. There are 40 cards and 20 cards will be randomly selected for each time played. Every student in the class will have a unique combination of cards and students can play multiple times and receive a different combination of cards each time. It is designed to work on a component of RF.K.2 and RF.1.2a.
