Your students will use pictures in ten frames to write addition sentences and find the sum. Audio directions are provided. Alt text is also provided. The students will type number sentences to show the tens and ones for pictures with colorful and cute Christmas objects. This deck provides additional practice and review for adding numbers in different ways. Half of the cards show the picture of the tens first, then the ones, and the other half shows the ones first, then the tens. The students will practice identifying the number of tens by counting by tens and will count on by adding the ones. The Deck: - The students will look at the groups of tens and groups of ones and type the number for each. - They will type the sum. - Then, click "Submit." 1.NBT.C.4 Add within 100, including adding a two-digit number and a one-digit number and adding a two-digit number and a multiple of 10, using concrete models or drawings and strategies based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction; relate the strategy to a written method and explain the reasoning used. Understand that in adding two-digit numbers, one adds tens and tens, ones and ones; and sometimes it is necessary to compose a ten.
