This is an interactive speech and language activity designed for early language learners and AAC users. Students feed a hungry GIF shark as it eats a variety of foods. Before each meal, students drag the shark and activate the core phrase “Go eat.” using a sentence strip with embedded audio. Students then use sentence strips or AAC supports to identify what the shark eats and respond to an errorless what question about the food. This activity targets functional language in a predictable, engaging routine that encourages participation, modeling, and repeated practice. Targets include: ✔ Core vocabulary (go, eat, in) ✔ Sentence formulation (“Eat ___”) ✔ WH-questions (what) ✔ Vocabulary (foods) ✔ Concepts (hungry / full) ✔ Following directions ✔ AAC and visual supports Audio and visual supports are embedded to support a wide range of learners. This activity works well for individual sessions, small groups, or teletherapy.
