In this interactive Boom Card activity, students will strengthen their phonological awareness skills by practicing phoneme blending. Students will hear a word presented in segmented sounds (for example: /c/ /a/ /t/). They will then look at two pictures and select the picture that matches the sounds blended into a complete word. This activity provides audio support to help students practice listening carefully, blending sounds, and connecting them to meaningful words. CCSS RF.1.2.b: Orally blend two to three phonemes into recognizable words. Oklahoma OAS 1.PA.2: Blend spoken phonemes to form one-syllable words. Texas TEKS LA.1.2.A.v: Demonstrate phonological awareness by segmenting spoken one-syllable words of three to five phonemes into individual phonemes
