Description: Use this Halloween-themed drag-and-drop activity to provide your students with a fun and engaging way to practice recognizing and building sight words. There are 25 cards included in the deck. 25 of the 52 Dolch primer (kindergarten) words are covered. Most of the words contain 4 letters, five of the words contain 5 letters, and two of the words contain 6 letters. On each card, students look at the picture of the animated monster holding a sign. Students look at the sight word on the sign. Next, they click the sound icon next to the monster to listen to the sight word spoken aloud. Lastly, using the printed sight word on the monster's sign as a guide, students drag and drop the candy bucket letter tiles into the white boxes to build the word. Both printed directions and an audio option for listening to the directions are provided on every card. When students are finished building a sight word on a card, they click on the pointer icon to move to the next card.
