Description: Volume of Rectangular Prisms includes 28 interactive, self-checking task cards to help students practice finding the volume of rectangular prisms. About half of the cards require students to find the volume by counting unit cubes to find the length, width, and height of the prism. The other cards display rectangular prisms with the dimensions labeled, and students have to calculate the volume using multiplication. These task cards are aligned with the 5th grade Common Core Measurement & Data standards, but they can be used for review with older students. Common Core Standards: 5.MD.C.3, 5.MD.C.4, 5.MD.C.5 There are two versions of Volume of Rectangular Prisms, one with audio (this deck) and one without audio. Every card in this deck has a sound icon in the upper left corner that students can click to hear the words on the card read aloud. This deck of Boom Cards includes a wide variety of rectangular prisms ensuring a mix of easy and challenging problems. If some of the task cards are too challenging for your students, you can hide those cards using the Hide Cards feature in your Library. There are 28 unique cards in the deck, but the default setting is for students to be given a random selection of 20 cards during each round of play. If you want more or fewer cards to be presented during each round, change the settings before assigning the deck to your students.
