Would You Rather Buy? Would You Rather Buy? gives students a fun, low-pressure way to practice communication while making choices and sharing opinions about everyday products. Students choose between two photo options. There are no right or wrong answers! The activity provides a structured way to practice expressing a personal preference, including NEITHER, and explaining the choice using BECAUSE. Students can practice: LEFT and RIGHT Making a choice between two options or choosing NEITHER Sharing a personal opinion Expressing preferences Explaining why they made a choice Using BECAUSE to justify an answer Listening to and recognizing different opinions Participating in conversation and social communication The two-choice format provides a predictable framework that can make communication easier than responding to an open-ended question. Designed with accessibility in mind, the deck provides multiple ways for students to participate and respond. It can support students with different communication and motor-access needs and can be used by SLPs, special educators, and other educators for individual therapy, small groups, partner activities, or classroom communication practice. The choices are inclusive and gender-neutral, allowing students to focus on communicating their own preferences. Great for: expressive language, functional communication, social communication, opinion sharing, choice-making, reasoning, and transition-related communication.
