This set of Boom Cards includes 30 digital task cards to help students deepen their understanding of basic fraction concepts related to mixed numbers and improper fractions. The first seven cards review fraction terminology, and the remaining cards are skill practice problems that are presented in random order. Some problems ask students to label models of mixed numbers or improper fractions, and other cards have fraction word problems. All of the cards in Level 1 have visual fraction models, and the answers are already in simplest form. The Level 1 deck does not include problems that require students to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions or vice versa. There are two types of answer choices used in this deck: multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank. The default setting is for a random selection of 20 cards to be shown during each round of play. If you would like to change the number of cards shown or hide some of the cards, you can change these options using the Custom Play Settings before you assign the deck to your students.
