These 24 task cards cover recognizing and correcting run-on sentences, sentence fragments, and complete sentences. Cards 1-9 are multiple choice with 4 options. Students are asked to select a run-on, fragment, or complete sentence as identified on the card. Cards 10-12 are multiple choice with 3 options. Students must read the sentence provided and identify if the sentence shown is a complete sentence, run-on sentence, or sentence fragment. Cards 13-15 are drag and drop. Students are asked to match the type of sentence (run-on, complete, or fragment) to three sentences provided. Cards 16-18 include a paragraph. Students must identify which sentence in the paragraph is not a complete sentence. Cards 19-22 are multiple choice with 3 options. Students are shown a run-on sentence or a sentence fragment are asked to select the best example of a correct option. Cards 23-24 are short response questions. Students are asked to correctly convert a run-on sentence into two complete sentences. These cards are aligned to CCSS.ELA-Literacy.L.4.1.F
