Students practice their listening skills (recognizing numbers) and counting by 25s in this activity. They click on the cash register to hear how much money they "owe", and then put the appropriate number of quarters on the counter next to the register and click submit to check their answer. Students need to be able to first recognize the number, and then count by 25s to put the correct number of coins on the counter. Good for English language learners who need extra practice listening and recognizing numbers, or any students who need practice working on counting by 25s to reach a specific total. The amounts range from 25 cents to $3.00, and the cards will be presented in a different order every time the game is played. With 12 cards in the deck, 8 cards are presented each round. The idea is to have students practice little and often. If 8 is too few cards or too many, you can change the assigned number from your Boom library. I also have other "Listen and Count" money counting activities in my store: count to 10 using cents, count to $1 using nickels, count to $1 using dimes, and count to $14.99 using an assortment of coins and bills. They are also available as a bundle. This is a LISTENING activity that is not suitable for deaf students. I have other counting activities in my store that do not require listening.
