Preposition puzzles are a cross between an ESL picture dictation and a logic puzzle. This one invites your English learners into a magical witch's kitchen! This digital TPR game can be played by either one or two players. Students read in the first version and speak in the second. In both versions, they use prepositions of place and magic vocabulary to solve logic problems. The prepositions are: above, at, below, between, next to, to the left, to the right. Moveable tokens represent the following items: bag, crystal ball, cupcakes, eyeballs, love potion, skull, spell book, teacup, and teapot. Both singular and plural nouns are included so that students get practice with subject-verb agreement. A matching activity is provided for this vocabulary. In the one-player version, students must read the clues and place the tokens on the game board to satisfy the conditions. This version is self-checking, so students get instant feedback. Audio is included to support emergent readers. In the two-player version, students use their oral communication skills and work as a team to produce matching versions of the game board. One student arranges the tokens, and the other asks questions to guess their locations. Sentence starters are provided. Both versions feature seven levels of play which become harder as the game progresses. Younger children can succeed at the lower levels, while older ones can challenge themselves to complete all seven levels.
