Description: A listening comprehension and counting exercise using coins to count to 100. Students click to find out how much money to put on the counter (anywhere between 1 cent and 1 dollar), then have to count out the coins to pay the correct exact amount. Students need to a) understand the number they hear, and b) understand the value of each coin so they can tally up the correct coins to go on the counter. Each card has only one possible combination of coins that will reach the correct total. Students need to know that "one dollar" is 100 cents, as they will hear "One dollar, please!" This activity is good practice for students who need to learn their numbers in English and / or the value of American coins, whether they are native speakers of English or English language learners. This deck will be different each time students use it, as a random selection of 10 cards out of the entire deck will play each time. I do NOT recommend that you assign it as a FastPin, because ALL the cards will play when assigned that way and 99 cards is far too many to play in one round! With 99 cards, if your learners play 10 cards at a time, they can play multiple times and not see the same numbers each time. This is a LISTENING activity that is not suitable for deaf students. I have other counting activities in my store that do not require listening.
