Your English learners will have making sentences about superheroes in this interactive grammar game. To play the game, they will drag and drop the word tiles in the correct order. As they play, they'll become more comfortable with English syntax and strengthen their command of the modal auxiliary verb forms "can" and "can't" in the simple present tense. Each sentence contains four to six words that follow a consistent pattern. The pattern includes a subject, the modal verb "can", the main verb, and an optional complement. The sentences alternate between declarative, interrogative, and negative forms so that students get plenty of practice with all three. There are plenty of colorful illustrations. Kids will enjoy following the lively cast of superheroes and villains. Each sentence is illustrated to support reading comprehension and vocabulary acquisition. The slides are presented in random order. Children will have a different experience each time they play! I regularly use digital sentence scrambles to review grammar concepts with my students. They enjoy seeing the pictures, moving the word tiles, and getting instant feedback. I find that the sentences scramble format is a great bridge between receptive and productive language use. It gives them the structured experience that they need to confidently use the language in conversation.
