Who is at the Door? Interactive Boom Learning Activity The student will hear a description of the community helper (job/occupation) who is at the door. After hearing a knocking sound, the student will tell the boy to “Open the door.” The student will open the door, discover who is there, and respond to a who question about the community helper. This deck also includes receptive identification activities. Students can touch the community helper to hear the label for errorless learning and auditory reinforcement, then identify the named community helper from a field of two. Possible targets include: open, who questions, following directions, sentence length, receptive identification, inferencing, critical thinking, guessing, descriptions, community helpers, jobs/occupations, and vocabulary. Visual and auditory supports are embedded throughout the activity.
