This deck was created for primary students to practice identifying the sounds r-controlled vowel combinations make in words. It should be provided after prior instruction. Audio support and tab navigation are provided. The students will use drag-and-drop for cards 1 - 30. Cards 31 - 60 allow students to click on the answers. - Your students will view a dog with a treat jar on each card. - They will view a colorful picture of the word on the treat jar. - They will listen to the word. - They will drag one of the three bones with the r-controlled vowel combination to the dog's treat jar. - Then, click the "Submit" button. Since er, ir, and ur make the same sound, the bones with the answer choices will have one bone with er, ir, or ur. Another bone with ar. The other bone will have or. The answer choices for words with or and ar will have a variety of combinations. RF.1.2.D Segment spoken single-syllable words into their complete sequence of individual sounds (phonemes).
