INITIAL PHONEME ISOLATION (ISOLATING BEGINNING SOUNDS IN CVC WORDS): FIND THE PICTURE THAT STARTS WITH THE SOUND YOU HEAR This fun phonemic awareness game enables kids to practice identifying and isolating the beginning sound in cvc words. After listening to the phoneme (which is set to auto-play), kids have to identify the word that begins with that sound and click the corresponding picture. Audio has been included for each pictured cvc word to enable kids to work independently. Kids can hear the phoneme again by clicking the green counter. Audio directions are included when one clicks the 'i' button at the top. The position of the green counter in the frame will help children remember that they have to isolate the initial sound in each word.
