I wrote this story for my students, who are learning English as a foreign language in elementary school. They love magic and make-believe, so they enjoy reading fairy tales and picturing themselves as the heroes and heroines. I wanted an ebook version of Jack and the Beanstalk at their level that I could send them to practice reading in English at home. I found ebooks to buy for myself, but none that I could send to families. So I wrote one! Meets the following Common Core Standard: CCSS.ELA Reading Literature: .RL.3.2: Recount stories, including fables, folktales and myths from diverse cultures.
