In this interactive speech and language activity, the girl is having a picnic — and your students get to discover what’s inside the picnic basket! Students will: • Use the core word “open” to open the picnic basket • Watch the basket disappear as a food item appears • Receptively identify and find the food (errorless format) • Drag and drop the food to the girl to “eat” it with embedded eating and drinking sounds • Formulate a sentence using visual/AAC sentence strips: ➡️ “She eats the ___.” • Answer an errorless “What?” question with visual supports Audio and visual supports (AAC icons, sentence strips, models) are embedded throughout to support independence and success.
