This interactive speech and language activity features a playful butterfly game of hide and seek with her insect friends. Students help the butterfly search behind backyard items to find the hidden insects. The student drags each backyard image to look behind it and discover the insect hiding there. After finding the insect, the student tags it and says, “I found you!” using visual sentence strip supports. Students then answer a what-question about the insect and respond to “Where’s the insect?” using the sentence strip “behind the ___.” AAC visuals, audio supports, and consistent routines help students participate successfully while building expressive language. This activity targets: • WH-questions (what, where) • Prepositions (behind) • Sentence formulation • Insect vocabulary • Early AAC modeling • Expressive and receptive language AAC and audio supports are embedded throughout the activity. This resource is part of my Growing Insect Speech & Language Bundle.
