The deck Matter - States and Properties is designed for 1st and 2nd graders. This primary science deck will help your students understand matter and related concepts, such as properties and using the senses to investigate. Auditory support and alt text are provided if needed so students can listen as they read. The Deck: - Directions and samples of slides are provided on Slide 1 for your students. - Your students will review how we can use our senses to identify properties while investigating. -Next, your students will apply ways to investigate to explore forms of matter. - Your students will gain an understanding of solids, liquids, and gases and how they can change their forms from liquid to gas, solid to liquid, and liquid to solid - Your students will also identify mixtures and substances. - They will continue to use drag-and-drop activities and respond to questions requiring them to click on an answer.
