Your students will have fun reviewing characters from Ancient Greek mythology with this engaging picture crossword. They will identify the following Greek gods and goddesses and spell them correctly: Aphrodite, Apollo, Ares, Artemis, Athena, Demeter, Hades, Hermes, Poseidon, and Zeus. I created this crossword puzzle for my own students, who are learning English as a foreign language in elementary school. They know about Greek mythology from contemporary children's literature and popular television series, and some of them are huge fans! By talking and writing about Greek mythology in English, they are developing the skills they need in a motivating context. Supports the following standards: - Common Core Language Arts: CCRA.L.2: Demonstrate command of the conventions of standard English capitalization, punctuation, and spelling when writing.
