Story Grammar Marker Enjoy this Story Grammar Marker® deck that is accessible for students with visual and hearing impairment. 'The Squirrel'-story 1 from series 1, that is officially approved and endorsed by Mindwing Concepts, Inc., creator of the Story Grammar Marker® approach. This deck is meant to be used as a companion tool to be used with the Story Grammar Marker® approach. It contains the Story Grammar Marker® icons (character, setting, kickoff, feeling, plan, attempts, tie-up, resolution) and can be used for teaching story grammar elements in an explicit way. This deck is at the complete episode level. It would be appropriate for the whole classroom, group, and individual lessons. Skills such as sequencing, understanding/expressing story grammar elements, use of cohesive ties (i.e., temporal, causal), feeling words, thinking/planning verbs, perspective taking, story comprehension and story retelling can be focused on. You will also find a demonstration video for retelling the complete episode with the story grammar marker (i.e. story braid) as well.
