Description: This strategy is useful for struggling learners, It can also be used by any student who needs practice with basic multiplication facts. It can be used to supplement math instruction, to practice basic multiplication facts with regrouping, or for enrichment activities. Color and visual cues are provided for support. Students skip count by 5's while touching the dots on the factors 1-20. They type the product in the ones place and repeat with the tens place. If the product is a 2 digit number, they type the number of tens in the regrouping box and then type the ones.
