Description: Help the pirate kids find hidden treasure in the jungle! Learning targets: core word WHERE (w/ AAC symbol), SEE, HERE, THERE, ON, IN, HELP. Prepositions (under, next to, behind), and pronouns (he, she, they, his, her, their). The deck includes 18 colorful scene cards with a jungle/cave/island adventure theme. On each card there are 2 movable pirate kids (a boy and a girl), 3 hidden gems/coins, and the AAC symbol for WHERE with an audio recording of a simple song to teach WHERE. Use the boy/girl pirates to target pronouns, and use the gems to target prepositions. Gems are placed in locations to elicit common spatial terms (under, next to, on, between, above).
