Musical Speech

About me: Welcome to my store! I have been a pediatric SLP for 11 years in the public schools as well as private practice. Prior to that I taught preschool and elementary music. I currently work with a preschool special eduation program where I serve kids with a variety of communication skills. This includes kids who use AAC, gestalt language processors, and emerging communicators. I create materials for SLPS and teachers that target AAC, early language skills and social emotional skills. Many of the materials I create include simple songs to help teach words and concepts. Music is such a powerful teaching tool, especially for our neurodivergent kids! I truly believe that singing is a form of communication, especially when a child is not yet speaking but can sing song lyrics by heart!
