Description: This is a fun deck to practice the glide sounds /w/ and 'y' with your students in different positions of words. You can have them use the sounds at the word, phrase, or sentence level if you want. You can provide a carrier phrase loaded with glide sounds such as, "Wear your white _____ in the yard" etc. Or have them generate their own carrier phrases. You can also target vocabulary and receptive/expressive language skills in mixed groups by having your students name all of the choices and have them describe their characteristics. Don't forget to have fun!! Words included: walrus, worm, wand, wind, waffles, wagon, underwear, squid, iguana, penguin, queen, swing, whale, quarter, walrus, yogurt, yoyo, yarn, yak, unicycle, yellow, onion, vacuum, crayon.
