The deck covers 5th and 6th grade English Language Arts Common Core State Standards (CCSS): W.5.7 and W.6.7: use several sources to build knowledge W.5.8 and W.6.8: gather relevant information; summarize or paraphrase and provide a list of sources W.5.9 and W.6.9: draw evidence from literary or informational texts The deck contains multiple-choice and multiple-select questions that test students’ ability to find, evaluate, record, organize, and cite information from various sources. The questions require students to apply critical thinking and research skills. The deck also includes six sample paragraphs for students to evaluate paragraphs based on five criteria: variety, quality, record, organization, and citation. Based on the given information, students must determine the corresponding score (Excellent, Good, Fair, or Poor) for each criterion.
