Description

This activity is a simulation of working at a new Halloween store in the mall. Your job is to help customers find a costume that meets their needs. Practice executive functioning and decision-making skills with fun, highly visual Halloween costumes. Students use three stated criteria to decide whether each costume meets all three criteria. Students will: Listen to and/or read three criteria. Examine a visual costume. Check the costume against the stated criteria. Decide whether it meets all three criteria. Answer YES or NO. Each group of three costumes uses the same criteria, with one costume meeting all three criteria and two costumes that do not. The activity supports visual scanning, attention to detail, reasoning, and decision making while providing a simple, consistent YES/NO response format. Designed for accessible participation with visual, auditory, and motor supports. Names are represented by initials, and costumes are not assigned to a specific gender.
